Achillea (Yarrow)



The Achillea is a herbaceous perennial commonly called yarrow. Often regarded as a common weed, it has several good cultivars of Achillea millefolium. Achillea has deeply divided, mid to grey-green leaves. Color of Achillea flowers include dark red, pinkish red, orange-red, lilac-mauve and white.

Achillea is a perennial plant with a wide choices of colors and aromatic foliage. It grows well in full sun and well-drained soil. Propagation is by seed and division in spring. The plant is sometimes attacked by aphids and mildew.
