Ají pepper (Peruvian hot pepper)


   


Ají pepper (Peruvian hot pepper), is variety of chili pepper of Capsicum baccatum, and containing a few breeds, including Peppadew and Lemom Drop. It has a heat level of 30,000 to 50,000 SHU (Scoville Heat Unit). Ají pepper is an aromatic, orange-colored fruit that is most popular in Peru, often eaten raw in salsas and salads.
