Boysenberry is a cross between a raspberry, a blackberry, and/or a loganberry. It is a large compound fruit with deep maroon color. Each fruit can be 8 grams in weight. Boysenberry can be eaten fresh or make into jams, preserves, and syrups, or as topping on tarts, pies and waffles. The flavor is more like of a raspberry, with a more tart undertone, especially when the berry is not fully ripened.
