Camargue red rice is a short-grained and unmilled variety of rice. It is grown in the wetlands of the Camargue region of southern France. Camargue red rice is brownish-red in color and is quite sticky. It has an intense nutty flavor and chewy in nature. It is best cooked like risotto. The rice is much more filling than white rice, so less amount is need for each person.
