Macleaya is a genus of flowering plants in family Papaveraceae and commonly known as Plume Poppy. These perennial plants are grown for their graceful flowerheads which come in airy plumes of tiny flowers.
Plant Macleaya in full sun, fertile and well-drained soil. Propagation is by seed in spring, divide in spring or autumn. Prevent pests like slugs and snails from attacking the plant.
