Nautilocalyx Gardening

Nautilocalyx is a genus of flowering plants in the family Gesneriaceae, comprising about 18 species. It is closely related to genus Episcia. There are about 11 species occur in the northern part of South America. Nautilocalyx is derived from Greek nautilos (naval), and kalyx (calyx).

Nautilocalyx plants have thick stems and beautifully colored or marked foliage. They are excellent for indoors and should be kept away from direct sunlight.

Propagation is by seeds and cuttings.
