Happy Jobless Guy is a website that I write to explain how I can earn a living without a job. Although I have been earning an income through the web for a number of years, it was only after I was made redundant from my job following the closure of our department that I decided to put on paper the boon I felt in having prepared myself for the eventuality.
There is a saying that those who fail to prepare are preparing to fail. In a sense, that's how it is with the job market today, when nothing is ever secure. One has to look after oneself. I find that holding a job offers the least amount of security, as your means of livelihood can be taken away from you outside your control. To many people, the only acceptable way of life is one with a job. But in this 21st century, many people including myself have discarded the notion that one needs a job to make a living.
