Pachyphytum

Pachyphytum is a genus of rosetted succulents in the cacti family Crassulaceae. It is closely related to Echeveria, with which it hybridized. It grows well in sun, and well-drained soil. Propagation is by seed, leaf or stem cuttings in spring or summer.

Pachyphytum oviferum (Moonstones), 10 cm tall amd 30 cm across, is a clump-forming succulent with a basal rosette of oval, pinkish-blue leaves. The flowering stem bears 10-15 bell-shaped flowers with powder blue calyces and orange-red petals in spring.
