Solanum
Solanum is a large genus of flowering plants. Although most are poisonous to humans, the Solanum genus also include three very important vegetables:
Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum (sometimes classed as Lycopersicon lycopersicum)
Potato, Solanum tuberosum
Eggplant, Solanum melongena
