Suillus bovinus is a mild taste and edible mushroom that is also known as Jersey cow mushroom. It can be found in coniferous woods across Europe, including subalpine regions in the Alps, growing in a symbiosis with pine.
Suillus bovinus has cap that is initially convex, then flat with a wavy margin and a gray-yellow color. The pores are irregular and gray to olive-yellow, and are usually decurrent to the bare stipe of 4-6 cm tall. The stipe is of similar color to the cap and smaller towards the base.
